It is cache corruption I believe. same specs as you. Was getting the same issue after running fine for a long time. You need to look for a file that has cache in its name. Delete it and then reboot the game. The file can be found in the main battlefield 2042 folder. Give this a try and see if it works.
This worked for me the file is called CacheSim.dll delete this file it will be in your main bf2042 foldeer where the game exe is located
This actually worked for me with my custom build 4090. Renamed Cachesim.dll to Cachesim.dll old and the game works fine. Something wrong with bf2042...
