Hello my name is Damien, I’ve Ben a foundation supporter of Battlefield’s online multiplayer since bad company. I wanna start out by stating I Love battlefield it’s my fav online FPS of all time. That being said I need to address an issue with the new release battlefield 2042. I’ve Ben experiencing unplayable lag and none stop rubber banding. I’m playing this game on my PS5 I’ve sunk probably 10 to 12 hours of game time into this title and not one match I can say was remotely playable or acceptable. It’s really weird I can hop on battlefield 1 or battlefield 5 atm and have a pretty solid gaming experience minor lag minor input delay and great hit registration. Battlefield 2042 is the complete opposite extreme lag none stop rubber banding and none existent hit registration. To say I’m let down would be understatement I’m a huge fan of battlefield I love the franchise I’m way beyond let down I’m devastated, I was frustrated for the first 5 hours of play but after 15 or so hours of playing I am now completely and utterly Depressed. Let down and feeling hopeless. I’m really worried this issue with the Lag and Rubberbanding will not be addressed or resolved, I only have a 50mb DL and 5 mb Upload connection I also play on ps5 maybe my internet cannot handle the optimization of the game idn, the beta had some flaws but the server connection was fairly good a lot more playable then it is atm, I know I’m ranting and i apologize, this is an extremely depressed fan boy giving his two sense thanks for hearing me out, if you are reading this you are the resistance!!

Portal shows 7ms latency for me. However all out war feels laggy still. I'm playing on ps4 pro, got 500mb fibre and wired to modern with a cat 8 1metre cable, I'm getting rubber banding most of the time aswell. Its unplayable. Tried bfv and don't get any rubber banding. Got low ping. God knows what's wrong.

@rayoa123 not just PS5, also on Xbox. It is a dice problem. Only game that is giving me issues. The solution I found was to quit playing and go back to PUBG. Problem solved!

@rayoa123 Maybe PS5 also has an issue, I don't know.... I am on Xbox and if you see my post of things I have tried and others and the fact that BF2042 is the ONLY game that I have issues with, it is pretty obviously a BF2042 problem.

More than enough, unless streaming multiple 4k Netflix elsewhere in house.

I have 1GB DL /100 MB upload, but it‘s totally unplayable. Dice did a worse job

It's the same on Xbox series x. Dice doesn't care about console they all play on PC. The rubberband was on their list of known issues but they took it down the other day. I suspect they think they have solved the problem so I also wonder if they know about this on console.
Also it hasn't anything to do with your internet-conection as long as it's stable with reasonable ping. I have 500Megbit/s fiber directwired to my Xbox. Same issues as you describe.

the rubber banding on console is insane. My internet connection is fine on all other multiplayer games but 2042 is basically unplayable. I also have a weird issue where my character's body is seen in front of me with no head/arms and the left stick movement becomes inverted. very obvious the consoles cant handle 128 players in the games current state. at least give us a smaller team game mode until this is resolved because I cant play this much longer without going insane from the lag.

Same here guys. Xb Series x, 500mbit connection. Huge fps drops, lot of rubberbanding, needs to restart console after 3-4 games. Hit registration is very inconsistent.
Problems mostly with breakthrough/conquest. Smaller maps via Portal (teamDM) is fine.
Game has potential, but to many technical problems at the moment.

Im having the same xp.... i am a fan of the game but i cant play it as well... for me the input lag, of aiming sux..... i try to download the ps4 version on ps5 but its seem the issue... i hope it will be fixed some day.... its a cery strange game xp....

Same here...but with me the game freezes for 3-6 seconds...quite often....sucks flyin a helicopter and the game freezes and next thing you know you crash into a building...
I bought the Ultimate version and it cost me $150...not cheap...and now I got a game that was awesome at first and now its unplayable....great game, but this freezing and stuttering crap needs to be fixed ASAP...or give me my damn money back....fed up of bein ripped off by paying good money for broken * games
