Is there a fix for this besides rebuilding the database? I can't even start the game after a new install. I literally installed it for the first time.

has anyone confirmed this fix works.
Leaning towards just returning the game for a refund and writing off the franchise.
Pretty ordinary user experience on day 1 of purchase.
