Battlefield 2042 quits to desktop without warning or error code

OS: Windows 10

EA Desktop

GPU: Vega 64

CPU: i7 7800x

16gbs RAM

Battlefield keeps crashing or closing in the middle of the game usually when I die. I can only get a complete game here and there and it was just working a couple of days ago. Usually it quits to desktop without warning or sometimes it freezes for a few seconds beforehand. This is usually not accompanied with an error code and I only got one once; wasn't able to copy it before both windows closed.

Anyone else having these issues? Any help would be appreciated :')

    Hey, @Shriveax  can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

    Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

    Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

    @Shriveax

    You have Windows 10 pro?

    If you do please check Event Viewer for any error codes to do with BF 2042.

    If you don't, I'm not sure.

  • @Popa2caps I just checked the Even Viewer and an see ther, that OS runs out of Virtual Memory when BF2042 crash occured...BF2042.exe is there everytime in the log, but do anyone knows how to prevent this ? I got 16GB RAM as well...not sure I want to buy more RAM just for this game...

    @Plitocz12

    16 GB for a gaming PC should be okay. Is there something running in services that's eating RAM? Revo Uninstaller Port (free) works wonders with turning off programs. Could just be the game has a memory leak and once your run out, bam crash.

  • Right, 16GB should be enough...but seems there is some leak or bug...in OS log everytime BF have used 12-15  GB of ram.....

    Now I increased virtual RAM to 10GB is OS and so far played 2 whole matches without crash or any issues, so that might help for now..

    That seemed to help a little bit, some games still QTD without warning, but its more playable now

    Didn't see any events in EventViewer ☹️ I wonder if this is even something I can fix on my end or if EA simply broke the game again lol

  • @EA_Atic Tried a clean boot multiple times and there is no difference. Attached dxdiag and screenshot of the error. Any help is appreciated I can't even get into a game for a few weeks now.
