Battlefield 2042 Rebooting PC after installing Windows 11
I have been on the fence about upgrading over to Windows 11. I just did. Afterwards I tried to start up Battlefield 2042
and the game completely reboots my system while loading. It did this 4 times in 30 minutes. I reinstalled my video drivers, Reinstalled game. Rebooted pc.
All other games run fine. I found a work around in the power settings I switched maximum power settings to 98% from 100 percent
and kept minimum to 20 % but the game does not run smooth like before when I had windows 10. Does any one else have this problem?
My system
i7 8700
rtx 3060 brand new
16 gigs of ram
psu 750 brand new
Okay I've done some testing and I think I figured this out. First I go to choose a power plan then I click on change plan settings and change Advanced power settings then processor power management then maximum processor state. It is now at 100%. I can play all my favorite games Red Redemption 2 Mech Warrior online, iracing, fortnite Star Wars Battlefront II, Battlefield 5 and I get no system reboot and my PC is quiet however when I play Battlefield 2042 my computer fans rev up within 5 minutes my computer reboots every time which says to me my CPU is overheating. But when I change the processor state to 99% no more revving while playing Battlefield 2042 and no more rebooting during gameplay. So whenever I go to play Battlefield 2042 I have to do The Annoying Thing of changing the processor state to 99% , and when I'm done when I play my other games I have to change it back to 100%. Hopefully this will help someone else in the future who's had my frustrating problem.
