Battlefield 2042 refusing to launch.

Used to launch fine. Tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find including clearing the steam download cache, reinstalling the game, uninstalling Onedrive, verifying game files, using DDU, stopping iCue from running, having a clean boot, and so on. Nothing works. I start the game on steam, EA asks for admin, and I (reluctantly) allow, the easy anti-cheat window pops up, it also asks for admin, I allow, and poof nothing happens. Eventually steam will say it's not running and the play button reappears.

System specs;

NV GR Driver: 516.94

    Tried that. the only game affected is BF 2042. even installed it on a VM with an extra GPU passed to it and it does the same thing. It's making me think a save or config file is corrupted or something that causing the game to break. Had a similar thing happen with DS3. The cloud save was broken and it was a real hassle to delete my save (sigh) just so the game launched....... At this point, I've uninstalled everything EA... If EA can't be arsed to even have support and broken games that can't detect corrupted save files... I may never buy another EA game... This is totally ridiculous...
