Battlefield 2042 Series x and PS5 friend invite issue

Hi - sorry i couldn't find the same issue i'm facing i'm on series x and trying to invite/add a friend on PS5. On searching via his EA ID i can see the profile but there is no add option. I've done ...

@SuperTruss another friend on xbox series s has just invited the friend on PS5 with no problems

    it just says report or block i think, would need to check
