Battlefield 2042 settings won't save

my battlefield 2042 settings won't save, how to fix?

  • @ryxnplays try putting your windows defender stuff off or add exclusions to it. I had te same problem (I have this for every game I own that I need to do this).

  • Same here.
My FOV settings save, but not the Hit Indicator colors I set for hit, headshot, and kill.
There is no option to continue, just Back, so when I go back, then go back to the Hit Indicator section, the colors I chose are gone.
No way to save it at all or Apply it.
    RIP

  • Hey, I had the same problem. It happened after I uninstalled OneDrive from Windows 11 and unlinked all the quick access folders like Documents, Videos, and Pictures from OneDrive. I had to create a new Windows user and play from that account, this worked. Everything else I tried—saving the settings folder in another location, rerouting the savings to a new Battlefield folder I created, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and verifying the game files, windows security setting, admin run—did not work.
