Battlefield 2042 Update 4.0 - No audio on menu screens on PS5

Summarize your bug After updating game to 4.0 on my PS5, I noticed music on game menus (e.g. before you start matchmaking for selected game mode) is no longer playing.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? After loading game and signing in, navigate to Warfare section (where you can choose breakthrough and conquest game modes). Notice all areas no longer play music whereas before I updated to 4.0 it no longer does this.
What happens when the bug occurs? No background music is played when on game menus.
What should be happening instead? Previously, I should hear general music audio while on game menus.

For PS5 and after updating to 4.0, is it me or is there no background music playing while on menu screens?

Hi all,
After doing a fresh install (for sanity) and updating to (yesterday's) latest patch...
I am please to report the music audio bug is fixed on PS5 !!!
(It's very likely they fixed bug in latest patch but didn't mention it in the notes itself, which was predicted in my earlier message).
Can those on PS5 including PC and Xbox confirm the same? (@Photolight, it may be worth updating your PC bug article to see if other PC users confirm it is fixed too).
I'll mark this message as solution once others confirm bug is resolved for them too.

Hi I’m having the same issues as well after the new update on ps5 and Xbox one
on my ps5 & Xbox one all music settings are on 100% on both consoles but the music sounds are gone after the new update kind regards Benny

Same issue here except I'm on PC and it's only on menu and loading screens where there use to be music.

Hi @EA_Atic, many thanks for returning.
I am using a PS5 official Pulse 3D Wireless Headset for my hardware, connected via dedicated USB bluetooth dongle to PS5.
In Battlefield 2042's audio settings, I've ensured it is set to "3D headphones".

I am using the corsair hs60 surround headset and I have tried all the audio presets in the game (surround, 3D audio, war tapes, etc) none of them helped with the problem and I still cant hear menu music or beginning of round music.
Hope you are able to fix this issue, thanks!

I have the same issue on PC. Using B&O Portal wireless headphones with dobly surround activated. I reinstalled the game and the issue is still there.

Apologies for not coming back soon.
With the latest update 4.1 released for PS5, I have updated my version but am sad to report the issue still occurs.
Playing through TV results in no music audio played, despite double checking “music volume” and confirming “Music Volume” is at 100. (Please see first screenshot).
As I use my headphones as indicated before, my settings is configured for surround sound (second screenshot attached).

Region: North America
When did this happen? I noticed this issue on both 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 starting May 19, 2022.
Summarize your bug: There is no soundtrack/music playing in any of the core menus, including portal, hazard zone, and all-out warfare. Additionally, I loaded into a conquest game in all-out-warfare and there was no soundtrack playing until the end of the match. Specifically, the soundtrack that should play during loading screens and redeployment is missing.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply signing in and loading the game produces the issue. Playing conquest in all out warfare should also produce the issue.
What should be happening instead? When I played the game in January 2022, all the music in menus and in-game played loud and clear.
One additional thing to note is a possibly related bug that I have experienced after updating to both 0.4.0 and 0.4.1:
The game will take an abnormally long time to start, from the anti-cheat screen, then to a black screen, then to the boat animation that plays when the game is connecting to servers. The boat animation has no music and plays indefinitely. Both times, I restarted the game, and everything loads normally again.
Solutions I have tried include increasing the music slider to 100% then down to 0% then back to 100%, resetting audio settings, and changing/saving all audio-related settings. (yes, all of them, including mix modes)
It is also worth mentioning that I made this thread for PC, as a thread regarding this issue has already been made for PS5. I have reason to believe it is identical.
