Battlefield 2042 Won't Launch After Dark Creations Install - October 2023

Question

The title says it all. I installed the Dark Creations update, and now I can't launch the game. This happened to me a while back, but I can't remember what solution worked. Nonetheless, I've tried a bunch of different things... no dice.
