I’m no stranger to 2042 and it’s bugs but; I genuinely enjoy the game which is why I pre-ordered it.
It used to run with zero issues prior to Season 1. I came back on the game when Season 1 launched and I kept getting dashboarded within minutes of playing. Didn’t care to fix it at the time.
It’s now Season 3 and the same issue is still very real. Constantly freezing and sending me to dashboard or just completely turning off my console.
*This is the only title I’ve experienced these issues with.*
Steps I’ve taken:
- Power mode changed.
- Plug directly into wall without surge protector.
- Cleared game cache.
- Un-installed/re-installed game.
- Removed account and factory reset my series X.
- Unplugged Astro A50’s from console.
- Power cycled.
- Network is directly connected.
- Console is well ventilated & cool.
My friends play fine on PC. No crashes or anything. I don’t have anybody on xbox to bounce this off of but; I see plenty of people playing and looking for groups on xbox.
I can’t be the only one with this issue. I’ve gone through other threads on here that @EA_Atic has been working with and still I cannot find a work around.
I love this game and would really love the chance to play it with more friends now that it’s on game pass for them to try out.
Any help is appreciated.
Same problem. Tried all the same solutions, and am not running any insider builds. The issue isn't the sonsole, there's bad code somewhere in the game that's triggering the crashes.
If it were the consoles it would happen with every game.
@gnauty i don’t doubt it’s coding because I played the game early release and for months following up until a few weeks past that content pack for Mackay was released.
When season 01 dropped - I signed back on to play the new map and couldn’t even make it through a match without crashing.
Flash forward two more seasons - still the same issue. Idk what is going on anymore. I’m hoping @EA_Atic has the answers!
