Battlefield 2042 Xbox series x can’t join a match

I’m on the Xbox series x and every time I try to join a match in the base game modes it starts to join then just brings me back to the main menu with no message. For portal it just doesn’t even work....

I’ll try that hotspot move, as well as a different wifi network by the end of this weekend and get back to you.

They finally answered me. Two steps I Hadn't tried. not sure if one does the trick but delete the save game data locally for battlefield and also go into network advanced settings on the xbox and clear the alternate mac address. Boom, now I'm playing laggy battlefield with everyone else and all is well. Good luck to you.

@zerom0d Good to hear you were able to get into matches, we are aware of similar reports and have shared them with our team, check do you know if the game worked after both steps were done, or just deleting save files?

  I am having the same issue, and I have tried clearing the alternate mac address, and removing save data. No dice. Also have connected to different networks, reset console, and reset the router. Would appreciate help. I have messaged several times to get some assistance, and haven’t heard back yet. I would like to play the game I have yet to even see the main menu of. Thanks.

  @EA_Illium Funny thing downloaded the xbox one version and i can join matches so the issue is the xbox series X/S version...also the bad thing is controls are delayed on the xbox one version its not lag it is delaying on every action all the matches i play had delays when pressing buttons..

    @Jonygut935 I get this same exact issue, the xbox one version works but it isn't as fun to play the game play isn't as smooth.

Well, sadly I still cant get into a game. Stuck on the "waiting for players to join" screen. Talk about getting ripped off. At least in Call of Duty I can play the single player/story mode. This game didnt bother to have a story mode. #EA stole my money. I would like it back.

@zerom0d I was able tofinally get on yesterday after reading a bunch of comments. I tried this initially but if didnt work. So I reset everything in game and reclicked the cross platform tab and it worked. So far its been connecting. Thanks

  We are aware that some players are unable to matchmake consistently into All-Out Warfare matches when turning off cross-play.
  Workaround - we can confirm turning on cross-play temporarily will allow you to matchmake successfully while we investigate a fix for letting you turn it off again.

    @Vtr_Racing Thanks for the info buut i had crossplay on i never turned it off so..idk what is going on i will redownload the game and try this n.n
