BF 2040 unplayable - CPU 100% and GPU not

I honestly want a status update on this "bug". Can someone official please give me a status update?
I have contacted their tech support and the official way to get status is to post in the forums. Here I am. What is the latest update? Last I saw was late October and it was that the developers are working on it. Surely, there has been some sort of update since then, right?
I am still waiting for an official response on these forums. Tech support said come here to get an answer from someone official to the status of my "bug" fix.
Is there any status? Is it being looked at?

I have an i7-9700 with a RTX 2060 (6GB) and 16 GB RAM.
It's not a bad system and should play the game fine.
