BF 2040 unplayable - CPU 100% and GPU not
There is already a mega thread about this issue. I just tried to open my own ticket on it. I'm told it's a bug. "They are working on it." I was told to post in the forums to get told the lates...

@heychadwick Well, I was able to play yesterday with no issues!!! It was great! First time playing in 2 months.
Today is patch day. I patched. The game won't play. It's worse than it was before. CPU 100% and GPU at 54%. I'm lagging so hard I'm sliding around the place and I'm not even near people. Forget trying to go up ladders or stairs. I can't even drop a beacon. Half my grenades don't actually throw because I'm lagging so hard.

@EA_Leeuw Please help. I couldn't play for months. Tech Support said come here for a status update on my "bug" of using the i7-9700 processor.
I used the above config file changes and it worked! I was able to play for a whole day. Then, the patch came. Now I can't play again.
After the latest patch, I couldn't play again.
I went back and changed DX12 to 0 and it is playable. Not as good and still laggy, but playable.
