BF 2042 and the VC++ Issue

Hi there,

A few weeks ago I encountered an error message after Battlefield 2042 was updated with the recent patch with the message "The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (5)" and then the game failed to open when launching it through the EA app.

I found a work around by running as Admin on the BF2042.exe file, but it takes a few attempts to get it to work.

Frustrated to get the game running properly, I thought it would have been best to  uninstall and reinstall the game hoping that it will resolve the issue......it just made things worse.

Now Battlefield 2042 would not be able to fully complete its installation as it brings up the error message "THe VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (5)"

I've tried to reinstall the up to date VC++ packages, but those programs don't even open. I've tried different solutions found on Google like going through CMD and SFC scan, but these haven't resolved anything.

Has anyone experienced this issue?
