@TR_Sorry4Death What drive is BF2042 installed at ?
Did repair/verify gamefiles with the gameplatform ya did buy BF2042 on ?
Please check youre drive(s) (beaware that those drives arent that speedy, mechanical drives are slow compared to SSD drives)
Lets do a windows check
Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each
(make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly):
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Reboot system
Now lets do a check at youre boot drive:
Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
CHKDSK /F
System will need to reboot.
If system reboots it will do a checkdisk , do not cancel this, let it run.
This will need sometime, depending on drive size and the ammount of data on it.
(ya also could use chkdsk /f /r <-- then this command will need much more time, this will also check for physical errors)
Now lets delete old EA AC and BF2042 cache.
Did delete all files and folders from EA AC first before installing new EA AC ?
Make sure hidden files/folders is selected.
Find all folder from EA AC and delete them:
C:\Program Files\EA <-- delete here the AC folder
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2042 <-- delete here
EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll
EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe
preloader_l.dll
C:\ProgramData delete here eaanticheat folder
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming <-- delete here EAAntiCheat.Installer.Tool folder
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming <-- delete here EA folder
Install location can be different if ya didnt use the DEFAULT location.
Now delete BF2042 cache, beaware it need to redownload it during gaming.
This can make the game laggy (cause ya got slow drives and your internet speed is also important for this)
Delete this folder:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local <-- delete here BattlefieldGameData.kin-release.Win32
Now reboot PC , start EA Desktop App (gameplatform ya did buy bf2042 on), and check if there is an update for BF2042.
Start game , if game cant find EA AC and doesnt update / fix / repair then check this folder for EA AC installer:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2042\EAAntiCheat or download here https://cdn.eaanticheat.ac.ea.com/EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe
Update us what i did for you, thank you !
PS SSD drives are much faster then those old mechanical drives, this will speedup load times for windows and all other software.
Those drives are "cheap" those days , and 1gb or more are affordable !
Also DEFRAG youre drive could speedup a bit more.
