I have not seen an update on this. When I contacted EA support they told me they were UNAWARE of this issue happening. LOL. It happens randomly while playing BF 2042, that the game will crash and send me back to my Xbox X home screen. NAT is always open. On fiber optic cable through ATT for internet. I have cleared the cache. I have cleared the save files. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have factory reset the console and uploaded everything again. I have cleared the MAC address. The game and system are updated. I have deleted and reloaded my profile. I have removed it from my router and added it back. It started happening after the first big update for BF 2042 this year. It is apparent that I will get no one intelligent from EA to help. Has anyone had this issue, still having this issue, or has had and has a fix for it?

@MuddPunk27 My thoughts exactly, been chasing this issue for months and initially they made it sound like my Xbox was faulty. Which I thought was strange as no other issues on any other game. Contact Microsoft and they told me they have received numerous reports and it’s EA’s issue. Contact EA and they still haven’t even acknowledged that it’s an issue on their end.

Indeed. I even factory reset my router today and 3 games in..freeze..crash..back to my xbox x home screen. There is something wrong with either the servers on EA's end or one of the earlier updates caused this. I had no issue with this till around February this year. March maybe? I think there was an update around that time. I cannot think of anything I have not tried. Uninstall. Reinstall. Factory resets. Clearing caches. Addresses. Saved files. Changing resolution. Changing gamer tags. I also bought a new Cat cable. The game is a great game. No matter what people say, it is still super fun after all this time and all the updates. Except yall need to come down hard on the cheaters. However, I get so frustrated now that I cringe when I play and days will go by and I sucker myself into playing and disconnect. Poof. Game disconnects me again. It has taken all the fun out of this game.

@Jord4n845 Its an absolute joke. EA always seem to pass the blame or just become totally oblivious to situations and just outright blank everything. Transparency or even ownership to an issue gets respect. This does not. I don't even know why I always give them the benefit of the doubt 😂

It sounds like you've been through a lot of troubleshooting already. As a test, do you happen to have another gamertag you could try? I'd like to see if the same thing happens on another account.

Been chasing this issue for months now, there’s another thread on here with several people having this issue. Will EA address it?

Ok, I used my sons account and the first game..after 2 minutes..freeze..crash back to the xbox x home screen. I have also noticed that it takes 3-5 tries to connect to a server most times. No other game I have played does this. Not one. There is a bug with the server somewhere that disconnects us randomly.
