@Borrietheblade, thanks for testing!
So just to confirm:
- You have EA Play via Steam and also play BF2042 via Steam (did you claim it via EA Play, or do you actually own the game, as in a standalone purchase?).
- When you have Origin overlay running, you can buy the 2042 BFC, but via Origin, you do not get the EA Play 10% discount applied to your 2042 BFC purchase.
- If you switch over to the EA app, you get an error when clicking on a 2042 BFC bundle (is this the "Origin in-game disabled" error message from your 1st screenshot?).
- If you manually search for 2042 BFC in Origin, you can find & buy them and you can see your EA Play 10% discount.
- If you manually search for 2042 BFC in the EA app, you can not find them (example images attached).

No I have EA Play through Xbox game pass ultimate. I bought the gold edition of 2042 via Steam.
*When you have Origin overlay running, you can buy the 2042 BFC, but via Origin, you do not get the EA Play 10% discount applied to your 2042 BFC purchase.
Sort of. Yes I have origin overlay running and IN GAME I can buy BFC but at checkout which goes through Steam, does NOT apply the 10%.
*If you switch over to the EA app, you get an error when clicking on a 2042 BFC bundle (is this the "Origin in-game disabled" error message from your 1st screenshot?).
Yes that is correct.

Yes that is correct. The ONLY add on I see in the EA app is the year 1 pass + ultimate upgrade. Nothing more. Well this is as of yesterday. If there was an EA app update recently, it may be showing up now but I can't confirm it as I'm at work but I can check again on my lunch.

I logged into the EA App on lunch and clicked 2042, then add-ons and now see the BFC add on option which gives me the ability to buy them and it shows the 10% discount.
So the only remaining issue is the IN GAME purchase of BFCs. If that's not known, well now you can at least report 1 person having that error assuming others use the IN GAME ability to purchase the coins.
I have purchased the BFCs so in the end, I got what I was looking for but the fact still remains that I cannot do that in game.
Let me know if you need me to do anything else before you all close this and mark it as "solved".
I appreciate all the help and patience with this issue.- EA_Leeuw3 years ago

Hey @Borrietheblade,
Thanks for the info.
So apparently this all appears to be a known issue that the EA app teams are investigating already. Unfortunately we do not have an ETA available when this will be fixed.- 3 years ago
Disappointingly, this is still very much an issue. I upgraded to EA play on Steam before buying an expensive battle coins bundle, however the discount does not apply through Steam in-game purchase.
