BF 2042 pc crashing no error
Hello All, Last sunday I decided to check out all the hype for BF 2042 after not playing in forever. I am getting a crash ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours. Very inconsistant. Sometimes the game ...
Try these steps:
- set virtual memory (page file) size to system automatic, restart PC;
- add to ur ESET antivirus exceptions an EA app dir and BF2042 dir;
- disable led software "LGHUB (legacy led)".
This is some info from ur dump:

From MS help:
The paging file is an area on your hard disk that Windows uses like memory. There's a setting in Windows 10 that manages the page file size automatically, which can help improve your PC’s performance.
To make sure automatic page file management is turned on
In the search box on the taskbar, type advanced system, and then select View advanced system settings, which has Control panel listed underneath it.
In System Properties, select the Advanced tab, then select Settings in the Performance area.
In Performance Options, select the Advanced tab, then select Change in the Virtual memory area.
Make sure the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box is selected. If it is, continue to the next tip. If it's not, select it and then restart your PC by selecting the Start button > Power > Restart.
Guys I have news, today I have a driver update + a Battlefield 2042 update. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think EA gave me an update to fix the problem. I think it's because I reported several bugs.

Nah- I’m on an old school AMD R7 1700X with an AsRock Taichi X370 board. 16GB 3200Mhz CL14 RAM with the voltage upped to 1.37 for stability. CPU is on standard AMD Boost Clock settings. Hardware-wise everything is solid afaik.
Thanks!

So, ur problem solved by using VPN or it was a coincidence, a single case?
Also, what is ur original location?

To clarify- the crashing issue was possibly separate to not being able to connect, but really can’t be ruled out because it was at the point where the game attempts to connect to servers prior to loading the menu screen. The connection issues are ongoing for me, and are solved by connecting my VPN to anywhere but East Coast US. I’m in VA. As EA is the only service I have connection issues with, I’ve deduced that it’s likely some hop near the AWS servers used in this region. When running a traceroute, the third-from-last hop always has an astronomical value or drops altogether when not on VPN out of immediate region.
