BF 2042 Stuck Keys/ Inputs
Hello,
This is my second time asking for help for the same issue in the past 4 months. While playing any game mode both with AI's and online at some point my inputs will get stuck and I lose all ability to do anything including opening my menu to leave. This forces me to ALT Tab out and close BF2042. It almost feels as if my game alt tabs me out as if i clicked on my other monitor while playing. However occasionally I lose input while sprinting or moving on foot causing me to go in a linear direction until I quit the app or die. This is the ONLY game I have this issue with, and it truly is making the game unplayable since launch for me ☹️. The steps I have already taken are the following.
1. Disable Oregon in game overlay
2. Update graphics drivers
3. Update MnK drivers
4. Uninstall and re install BF2042
5. Restart PC and check connections with wired/ wireless hardware
6. Reduce graphics settings and change display window type (windowed to Fullscreen)
7. Reset all controls back to default
I also use Steam to play BF2042 if this is a factor.
This has been an ongoing issue for months now and I have been responded to and ghosted by EA staff on here once already even after "@" them in my replies like they ask... Please help!
@Rokebo73 While unplugging my excess USB hardware that i didn't need to play the game I was able to get through 3 entire games with no issues. I hope it stays this way as it has resurfaced before. I believe my Bluetooth adapter for using an Xbox controller was the culprit. Thank you so much for your effort and replies. You replied more frequently and efficiently than any EA Dev i've talked to on here. After months of game pre order to now I'm able to play finally. Cheers!
