Some of you with the just crashing to desktop without error try deleting the files inside the cache folder.

Documents\Battlefield 2042\cache

This seemed to have worked for me, and this use to be a problem for some people in the past.

Just a suggestion....

@Itchiee  Yeah , when game got an update , always delete content of Cache folder in the Documents / BF2042 folder !!
