For unkown reason bf2042 crashes to desktop.Did repair game files, did sfc /scannow.Did chkdsk /f /rLatest windows drivers and MB drivers installed.Latest gpu driver (already did ddu in safemode)Want to know if there is some hardware issue at my system, cause bf2042 is creating crashdumps (included in this post).Any dev/supporter could ya check those crashdumps and tell me what causes those crashes.Maybe some hardware is going to be broken , or some unknown system cfg that cause those issues.Some errors in dxdiag , didnt check / fix them (yet).Friendly reagrds Rokebo73Cheers

An update has been released but the game crashes like before :(This time seems to enter 100% times the game menu, once trying to join a game server it suddenly crashes skipping to desktop and close bf2042 process or freezes.

I have exact same issue. I have no idea what is going on. All of this started after the last update. GPU drivers are up to date.How can I share my crashdumps? I tried to attach but it does not work, probably the format is not supported on this forum for whatever reason.

most ppl have the same issue.moving the folder or editing the profile saves brings nothing. still crashing. same thing with adding more virtual memory. i also reinstalled dx12, all drivers and even bf2042 and my whole windows. EA definetly messed up the update so its actually unplayable. but hey... as long as there are people paying for skins, even without playing... they will not react to it, like always :D so maybe we all stop paying them, and maybe they listen to us. but i dont thing so :Dso its a waiting game. like always. play something else guys meanwhile... in a couple month, its maybe fixed :D

Same here. Game returns to windows, or crash freezing screen and sometimes, crashing, it reboot pc too!Sometimes it enters the main menu and crashes while loading before to join a game server, sometimes crash occours launching the game (before the main menu is loaded).Bf2042 reinstalled + all the common actions in these cases done (gpu drivers, game file repairing, dx install etc etc). Nothing helps :(The game has always run greatly until 3 days ago.A fast fix would be very appreciated...Thanks

Game keeps crashing for me as well. Even with the new update.... No error codes or anything just get the boot to the desktop. 14700k and 4090 and it keeps crashing. My wife's 7800x3d and 3080ti keeps crashing. My brother 5700x3d and 7900xt keeps crashing the same way also. Same for my little nephew 5700x3d and 4060ti. My wife and I have both tried everything and have looked deep into the issue and can't fin a solution that works. But just like the hdr bug that took well over a year to get fixed by the incompetent they's and them's woke warrior dei hires at dice I know for a fact this will never be fixed... Might as well move on from it and play other games.

Try siging up for their News when the game starts. It kept booting me until I did and now it seams to run

Need to say , that the crashes i got , are at random.
Not every day (sometimes multiple times a day).
Did check system and software in mean time.

Did clear all LOGS that are in eventviewer. and made a new DXDIAG.
Now i checked dxdiag for drivers (version/whql).
Had to fix Network driver and Intel management engine interface #1.
Did update to latest GPU driver (rtx4090 clean install).

Windows update did give some issues with latest cumalative update.
Took very long time to download and install (had to force reboot/shutdown time 2 times).

Downloaded Samsung Magician (no errors issues).
Used SFC and Dism commands , no issues
Deleted index by using Index options in control panel and let it rebuild.

During those days also new windows updates done and BF2042 (8.5.0) updates.
Till now no crash to desktop or any other issue with game (yet !!!).
included new Dxdiag in this message.

Now testing already for almost 3 days , "i hope problem got solved" :)

Ps before all this, i did of course deleted bf2042 cache and all cfg files from bf2042.
Also deleted all EA AC files and folders.
Deleted dxcache.
I dont use any overlay , vpn , virus/malware scanner ect ect
Did not do a cleanboot, cause i didnt change any cfg/files.

Having the same issue even with the Windows 11, version 23H2.
After the BF update and Nvidia driver i cannot connect anymore, game crash. sometimes DirectX error.
Did all the updates, reinstall, install again, repair. Nothingggggggggggg
EA Fix this pleaseeeeeeeeeee

Good news everyone!
This Directx error maybe about auto-HDR Windows setting.

My setup: main monitor in laptop with HDR and second via HDMI old TN (without HDR support):
1. two monitors pluged -- directx error
2. only HDR monitor -- workting well.
3. two monitors and disabled HDR in main monitor -- workting well.

It seems to work properly, i have simply clear the EA app cache, like sjggested by some users. Clear cache, rebooted and it' s 3 times it nornally joins a conquest 128 game server, finally.
Hope it works for you too guys
