PC Specs: Saphire Radeon RX 6600
4x8 Gb RAM 3200MHz CL 16 (corsair vengeance)

Ryzen 5 3600
B450M PRO-VDH MAX

Running the game on a 1Tb NVME SSD

I have been getting the DXGI ERROR before updating to the latest drivers, now that i am using the latest AMD drivers (23.4.2) and the game is crashing without any errors.
What i've tried already was- Disable PBO, Remove 2 sticks of ram and try different sticks on different slots, disabled XMP, left ram at the base frequency, tried opening the game with all overlays disabled (including steam and EA App), limited the in-game framerate, disabled Smart Access Memory, underclocked GPU, undervolted GPU, ran the game as an administrator, deleted the shader cache multiple times, nothing has worked as of now

The only game i've had problems on was PUBG but as soon as i removed 2 sticks of ram that seemed unstable the game ran fine. No other games i've played the last month had any problems (The last of us, Escape From Tarkov, DayZ, Squad, Chernobylite, Stalker Anomaly, AC Valhalla, MW2 etc). I will mention that this problem only started appearing a few days ago after a game patch, before that everything was working fine and i was able to play the game without any problems.

    @zziGhost1337x Hey man !
    I see you got a BSOD , can you tell when this BSOD did happen ?
    I also see some issues with youre Windows Defender, file msmpeng.exe is causing an/some issues !
    Did ya try a cleanboot and disable everything and then test game again?

    Ps do ya use software like ARMOURY CRATE ? This software is know for issues if system, is set at TURBO settings !

    Update us please.

    No other software running other than logitech G hub and adobe creative cloud. Tried doing a safe boot, didn't work.
    As for windows defender, it's been turned off due to conflicting with some programs i use at work..
    As for the BSOD, it was linked to unstable RAM and happened in PUBG, since then i have found the faulty sticks by using memtest86 and managed to solve the issues.

    @VladXD1  Good , no more issues ?
    Take a note, a mem test tool does not always show errors !
    Also make sure youre memory is in the QVL from motherboard ya use !

    If ya got issues with XMP settings, then there is faulty or incompatible memory stick(s) in use !!

    Cheers

    PS check manual if ya moithertboard support DUALCHANNEL for memory.
    If so , then set sticks in the ports that enable dual channel (normally A2 and B2 <<-- check manual)

    My memory is definitely compatible with my motherboard. There was, however, one stick of memory that was faulty and got removed prior to trying to launch the game.
    The motherboard def supports dual channel and the sticks are running in dual channel.

    The issue has, however, been resolved. After fumbling a bit in-game i have realized i only crash when joining a friend's party. Tried doing some solo games and had no problems.
    I did manage to replicate the issue and the game only crashed when trying to play with a specific friend and him being the party leader (tried multiple times today at different hours, if he starts a game as the party leader i would crash in the middle of that game, me being the party leader let me play multiple games with no crashes). We tried it the other way around and had no in-game crashes today and after removing him from my friend's list and adding him back (in the EA app) the crashes stopped happening mid-game

    As for crashing during loading, i have found out it is tied to me alt-tabbing out of the game frequently and using my second monitor, i crash 10/10 times in the loading screen if i am alt-tabbed and/or have another window in focus. I guess no more alt-tabbing during loading screens from now on 🙂))

    As for my PC's stability, the build i have now is 100% stable, ran multiple benchmarks overnight and everything seems to be good with the current config (2 sticks of 8gb memory). The other 2 run fine in all games (tried them in 2042 as well) and benchmarks, the only problem being PUBG (only god knows why but i have already ordered a replacement just so i don't have any stability issues with any other games in the future)

    Anyways, thanks everyone for trying to help and the feedback, the game is still crashing while alt-tabbing during loading screens but i can live with that, at least now i can go through an entire game without being sent back to the desktop 🙂

    @VladXD1 Out of curiosity regarding your crashes when alt-tabbing. Are you running the game in full screen setting?

    Since the last patch, the game with CTD without an error, had no real issues prior, nothing hardware wise has changed on my system.

    It would be nice if the game actually produced some sort of error report at least then I might have an idea where to start cause quite frankly I'm at a point where I just don't care anymore, other games work fine without issue, only BF2042 after last update

    I've ran SFC (Never sure why this is offered as a tip, its largely pointless in the grandscale of things, if Windows is broke you'd likely know about it!), no errors.

    @RustySP check youre dxdiag if there is any issue / error report, and tell me if ya did know about those errors 😉

    Cheers
