BF2042 doesn't launch after Easy Anti Cheat (EA app & Origin)

Hello would like to share a solution I unexpectedly found

Im playing BF2042 via steam. I dont have admin permissions enabled for anything (EAC, BF2042, steam etc)

Locate the EAC file for BF2042 (click on game in steam library -> click on option button -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse)

Delete all the files inside EasyAntiCheat folder

Run "Verify Integrity of game files"

Let steam scan and redownloaded deleted files

Run BF2042 after download completes and let steam re-run first time setup
