BF2042 kicks me out to the menu's

Product: The EA app
Platform:PC
Error Report ID (learn how to create an Error Report ID in the sticky post)
Which client functionality are you experiencing this bug with? Launch Game
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 2024-01-12 22:00 - 23:45
Summarize your bug Kicked out from server. Seldom I get the error connection window from EA. (Note I don't get a code for this issue) Just want's me to restart my router. I just end up in the menu's sometimes without any notification or error code.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try my setup I discribed in the window below PC- parts. I have the latest update on drivers from AMD version 23.12.1 (I also use the Pree-made adjustment for GPU-card in the AMD-program Adrenalin, it's called ANGER.) I run the game from STEAM program through EA-app
What happens when the bug occurs? Lag-spikes and errors. Kicked out in the menu's.
What do you expect to see? No lags-pikes. Not getting kicked out of the server.

Hello everyone,

Issue:

Whilst playing my soldier in game I have lagspikes at random moments in-game.
Sometimes they go away. But most often i'd say 90% the time it says connection errors and puts me back in the menu.
I often play with friends so im still in squad when i get error that puts me back in the menu, so the connection error dosent really loose connection to the game. Just the server?

I can re-enter the game (server) however usally kicks me out of the game (server) once more.

Running on PC:
CPU AMD 7700X

GPU AMD 7900 XTX (Powercolor Hellound)

LGUltraGear screen with resolution 3840x1600 with medium settings in BF2042.

RAM 32GB 6000MHz

Is there something I can do from my part?

This I would like to know:

Why oh why does my CPU go to 88C* degrees in the menus? cmon it's the menu's? before you enter the game.... ☹️

If it's not fixble I'd like to know why.

Best regards your player att Battlefield.

I suggest you attach a DXDIAG report, as someone may spot something.

Have you confirmed within the past few days that you are not getting high temps with other apps/games? For example, do benchmarks run like they used to?

FWIW - I'm getting mid 50s (with ambient temperature of 22 Celsius) while navigating the menus.

Since in the menu where the CPU consumption you have 88 °C, then during the game you 100% throttle because of too high temperatures by which you have the problems you have. What is the cause of this? CERTAINLY NOT THE GAME !!!!!!. Buy a serious CPU cooling like for example Noctua NH-D15, or other similar. This CPU takes up to 150 watts in stress, also if you have some stock CPU cooling, or a cheap little heatsink, or a case that is a tight square, the CPU will overheat for you :P

I for my i7 8700K have such a cooling (one of the top ones at the time, as you will see a large heatsink) : Fortis 3 HE1425

For your CPU it will be too weak, the 8th generation I7 is still from the days of energy-efficient CPUs, but since I have the overclocking version, I bought a very powerful cooling. with OC 4.7 ghz (4.3 GHZ on stock) I have max 76°C. , on stock max 63°C.
