I think they have problems with servers right now.It is not just you and me.Legit before 1 hour i dont have problems...but now after the game my list just went off(same for some of my friends).All of us try to go into a new game and everything is fine.Pretty sure problem is not in our internet connection , only in there servers.

Steams shows them online, EA not showing anyone ingame.

Don't worry. It will go away on its own. Minor internet problems.

for some reason my friend which I convinced to buy the game can see the friends panel and is connected, but for me it's either this or in the game overlay it says I'm just offline.

Same exact thing is happening. The rights side is blank for like 10 mins before it shows my id on the EA app. When in the main menu for bf2042 me and my friend can search our names up even the EAIDs BUT we can't even add each other (I'm on pc & he is on ps5). Also last thing to add he is on current ps5 version of game no mistake there.

Friend's list is still broken for PC. I can see friends and invite them. Unable to join them in game. I am part of ClanAOD.Net for the past 12+ years. On any given night there are between 10-30 members or more on Friday nights. We are currently unable to group up and play as a team both with and against each other.  PC friend's list has been broken for a few weeks now. However the console players can see and join people online. so It is something on the PC server side.
