I've tried literally everything I've seen on the this forum as well as reddit and YouTube such as-Updating windows (Windows 10 22H2)-Updating Geforce GPU Drivers (531.26 the hotfix one)-Uninstalling and Reinstalling EA Games-Uninstalling and reinstalling BF2042-Validating integrity of game files for BF2042-Launching BF2042 in administrator mode-Lunching steam in administrator mode with compatibility with windows 8-Clearing game cache of EA games-Uninstalling and Reinstalling EAC-Running EAC repair tool-Deleting the cache for BF2042 within the documents-Moving BF2042 onto a different drive (Both of which are SSDs)-Using CCcleaner to get rid of all regedits of EA Games after ive uninstalled the application-Multiple Restarts of my PCI bought the Gold Edition through steam when it first came available, yesterday the game ran perfectly fine but now it wont even launch. I get 0 error codes or anything from EA Games or Steam. I'm losing my mind here trying to fix it.PC SPECS:CPU: Ryzen5 5600xGPU: Pallat RTX3060-tiRAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MhzStorage for the game: Samsung 970EVO SSD

Problem is clearly on EA side. Forget about all the clean-up advices and requests for PC info. Either EA has to update their app or they have massive problems on the backend - but you bet EA won’t tell us.

I also played this morning and now i can't. What the hell are you incompetent idiots doing at EA and Dice that after EVERY UPDATE we can't play the game???? No wonder you were voted the worst company in America.

Played for 2 hours this morning, go to play tonight, game doesnt launch again.No EAC splash, nothing... click play in Steam, nothing happens and the play buttons just goes green again in Steam.

I *just* played an hour ago. Now clicking on Play it will return to the EA app. I love how they come here and be like "do you have the latest drivers?" 'post your DX dialog". lol. Come on. Its on your end and the EA app is absolute buggy. Why replace Origin (that wasnt great either but it worked) with something that was clearly CLEARLY not ready. /eye roll

Yup having the same issue on Steam version, AGAIN. This isnt a new thing, and has been happening since launch.
Symptoms:
Press Play in Steam
EA App Launches
EAC Splash screen shows.
I see BF2042Launcher.exe and BF2024.exe in Task Manager
EAC splash screen dissapears, BF2042.exe is in Task Manager still, dissapearing and re-appearing every few seconds
Play button then lights up in Steam and EA App closes.
Deleting the BF2042 folder in Documents/ doesnt do anything.
I played yesterday WIthout issue.
I know about 6 restarts of the PC will probably fix this but yeah, im not restarting my PC 6 times (like I did last time I posted this issue) just to play BF.

@IneffableZA done everything you done and after just reinstalling win10 (just win10 no apps or personal data ) and reinstalling bf2042 it works

I get the same issue where launching from the EA client the game won't launch, it just goes back to desktop. What is happening is that if windows does not ask you to allow the anti cheat to run, then the game will not launch. To be specific, what has happened to me is that after launching from the client, the client will close, then the anti-cheat will run and if windows does not prompt you to allow it to run, then the game will close. If I run it again and I do get the prompt from windows to allow the anti-cheat to run, then the game will launch. Something within the permissions of the anti-cheat is keeping the game from running and I have no idea why windows would prompt to allow it to run in one scenario and not in another, that is just strange.
Anyway, there may be a way to assign admin privileges to the anti-cheat so that it bypasses the window prompt. I've been too lazy to look into it.

I'm on steam as well, I get the loading splash screen and then origin error message. 1:3300j:15021:16991705070:0B
Then I have to use cnt alt del to shut it down because now we are stuck in a can't connect to loop

Same here...Game will not launch (Steam) after latest patch. No errors, no message just back to desktop.
I'd post a DxDiag but not sure what that is or how to do so.
