BF2042 Not Launching
I've tried literally everything I've seen on the this forum as well as reddit and YouTube such as -Updating windows (Windows 10 22H2) -Updating Geforce GPU Drivers (531.26 the hotfix one) -Unins...
Got the same problem but in the morning i got black screen on both displays after getting to main menu and my fans got to 100% speed only help i found in shutting down pc from an outlet and then i got the same issue only in battlefield 2042 other games work as they should
I came here to post that my game is also not launching through steam. Or EAapp. I don't get any error messages or anything, it just goes from the green play button, to the blue Stop button, then back to the green Play button. The game never starts.
I just got my game working... for some reason my 2042 wasnt launching because I had GoG Client open.
My Symptoms:
Clikc Play on Steam > EA App would pop up for a second then close and play button would become Green again in Steam.
I waited about 30 seconds noticed I had GoG Open so closed it, then out of nowhere EAC Splash Screen poped up and the game launched.
I also have been having this issue since update 3.2. I'll have to press the Play button about 15 times in steam for the game to launch.
Most times I click the button, it goes blue for a few seconds, then back to green without anything else happening on my screen. Sometimes I'll see EA launch, and then go away, and the the play button goes back to green. And rarely I'll see anti cheat show up, but the game won't load after that, just goes back to desktop. Sometimes a restart helps, but most times it doesn't.
I keep having this issue every time I try to open the game still. And today a new issue arises: now the buggy EA app opens and tells me the game was downloaded by another user on my machine, and that I need to either buy the game again, or sign to the account that bought the game. I have no other user on my computer, and also only one EA account. Seriously this is extremely frustrating, and I would wish EA would either fix their app, or not force us to use it.
