Same issue here, played it yesterday and it was fine, updated BF2042 today (had to, forced) and now the game doesn't even launch.
I really do wonder what the testing strategy for BF2042 releases are as every single update is always botched. There's always new bug and bugs from the alpha and beta launch still aren't fixed! Every new addition to the game is broken in some way shape or form. Be it a new map, new mode, new character, new weapon, new vehicle. Like, do they even test the game AT ALL?
I'm not going to try any of the previously mentioned fixes here as none are known to work and it's a waste of my time, like having to write this also is...
I'm just going to wait for the 4.0.2 patch or a rollback to 4.0.0 as that's probably the only thing that will fix it.
Same here on PC, either I have to launch it several times or when I do get into a game, it only lasts for 10 minutes then crash to desktop, no error message. EVERY TIME there is an update, this happens and only with THIS game, I just don't understand it.
