BF2042 PC Cannot sprint since last update

Hi,
Since a couple of days I am not able to sprint anymore. Any time I spawn into a server, the first odd thing that happens is that the character automatically pulls out the knife and randomly stabs  into the air. Then everything seems fine except I cannot sprint, which makes the game absolutely unplayable.

Already tried resetting all key bindings to default multiple times, the repair game option from the EA launcher and even fully reinstalled the game, but the problem persists

    @roastb3ef any 3th party tool running for keybinds/shortcuts in windows ?
    Keys who stuck at youre keyboard ? or any game controller that is sloppy with sticks/buttons ?

    @roastb3ef Do you use the steam or Origin/EA overlay at all when you play the game? I found that if I open the Steam overlay, the game will think I'm still holding down certain keys when I'm not anymore.

    hi @Rokebo73 thanks for the reply, I only have a tool for the extra buttons on my mouse (razer synapse for the razer basilisk v2), nothing for the keyboard. keys are fine, I have this issue with two different keyboards and only BF2024 is affected. all other games work as usual

    I had indeed a controller plugged in but unplugging this was one of the first things I've tried. since reinstalling/repairing the game no controller has been attached

    hey @thedudeguy1 , no never used any of the overlays they are just running in the background as always. but I will try to disable as much as possible of those things when I try next time, thanks
