BF2042 instantly crashes whit high settings when deploying into a match. this started happening after upgrading to an RTX 4080.
If i play on medium the game works sometimes. but has happened even whit medium settings that the entire pc freezes
i hope the devs can look into this.
Theres only one thing that fixed my problem. I got a refund and i am happy now 😛
I have every battlefield game only this one is crashing for me.
I’ve tried probably ten different drivers, three different video cards (amd and nvidia), two PSUs, three different ram sets, two different motherboards, and two different CPUs. The only thing that has stayed consistent is the case and the game.
(Also having crashing issues on 4090)
If I go into that area you mentioned, and click "Change default graphics settings" it defaults to HAGS=on. Is that good or bad?

Have you guys tried cleaning your drivers with DDU "Display Driver Uninstaller" and then installing the latest drivers?

I think I have a solution if you guys are still having this problem. Got no help from anyone. Tried alot of things. I have a RTX4080 card with a samsung G49 monitor. It crashed every time with BF2042. What I finally did was in the settings change it from full screen to borderless screen. The game looks the same but it doesn't crash even on ultra settings
