I updated through origin but now the problem is the game doesn't load. It briefly brings up that anti-cheat loading bar and then nothing happens. 'Play' button in launcher is greyed out and there's a small backend process for BF2042 in task bar but the game will never load.
Tried clearing both EA and origin caches and restarting but it doesn't fix the issue.
Pretty smooth game launch so far.
