Look, I ran across this in your forums, a user recommended an update to C++ framework from Microsoft. It's worked, I'm back in. This should be helpful to others.

After a frustrating weekend where I hosted a LAN party for some friends to play the last few days of Season 3 BF 2042, I finally figured out why two of us could not launch the game and were both crashing without errors and getting DX errors all weekend.

Uninstall Asus Armory Crate if you have it. BOTH apps (lite and full version) That was the problem. Not sure if it's BF 2042, EA app, or Easy Anticheat that has problems with it, but up until a few days ago it was not a problem because we both had it loaded and were able to play fine.

Of course, I figured this out this morning after all my friends have gone and it ruined my weekend.
