Black Screen after finding a game > Sent back to Main Menu

(PS5) when trying to join a game I keep getting booted back to home screen. By home screen i mean the screen where you can choose between classes, collection, battle pass etc. I pick (any) game mode, start match-making, it will eventually find a server to join, it will try loading into that server, the screen goes black, the "loading" cross comes up, and then it kicks me back to home. This has been happening since Saturday. I have restarted my console multiple times. I've cleared the cache in safe mode. I've also uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. This issue is persisting. Please help.

Summarize your bug Cannot play anything. I can try official matchmaking or portal, or hosting my own server and it finds a match, goes to a black screen, then after a few seconds puts me back at the main menu. I have been able to play one match in the past few days due to this.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Zero clue.
What happens when the bug occurs? Reverts me to main menu, does not allow me to connect to any match. Once a match is found I goto a black screen, then after a few seconds back to the main menu. Every time, on official matchmaking, portal, hosting.
What should be happening instead? Connecting to a match, showing the map loading screen, allowing me to play.

Hi I'm a community play test member & I was able to get on & play BF 2042 before the update for Season 5.

Now I like so many cannot access a game because of this, I've seen all of the moderators suggestions & nothing seems to fix the problem for many so DICE can u please fix your buggy update. You are saying how can I say this?? well Going by the suggestions that most have given for fixes don't work I'd say it's the update. I'm playing on a brand NEW sys w/a intel 12 core CPU 64gigs of ram @ 5200mhz & Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 vid crd so I know it ain't my rig plus Destiny 2 plays on steam,Dying Light 2 plays on Epic & My games on Ubisoft. I also have a 100% solid connection to the inet & my sys is hard wired.

PLEASE fix/patch your update. I paid to play the new season & would like to.

Here's how my prob goes. click on a mode to play/ get the count dwn @ the bottom with beep tones/ black screen comes up w/little place holder that changes shape/ Secs later I'm back on home screen w/no error msg's from any pt on my pc.

I'd also like to point out that Easy AntiCheat is bugged software as well. Out of respect for the moderators I won't say what it really is.

I can not load into a match. I click 128 player conquest game mode > It appears to find a server > countdown initiates > screen goes black > the loading cross hair appears > I am kicked back to the 2042 menu screen.

This happens one 128 player conquest. But not "Reclaimed Conquest". This also happens on Breakthrough. It does not happen with Rush game mode. This has been happening since June 3rd 2023.

It also appears that my settings can not be restored to default.

I've gone so far as to do a complete system factory reset and re-download the game and that hasn't worked either.

Whenever I queue a game, it finds a server, acts like it's loading for the first few seconds then enters a black screen, which I stay on for ~15 seconds before it kicks me back to the main menu without any messages.

I have tried:

Relaunching my game numerous times
Repairing my game
EA App recovery
Restarting my computer

I don't want to reinstall the game, but if that's what it takes, I'll try it. I'm hoping the answer to this is something more simple though, but I guess I'll see.

This randomly started happening today, I was just playing, only running into a bunch of in game friends list problems, but I was still able to play perfectly fine, then I took a break and got back on, having done nothing with my game other than launch it again and this just started occurring. In effort to get me into a game, my friend invited me to a party (which actually worked this time) and he was actually able to get me into a game, but it only seemed to load on some maps, on other maps I ran into the same problem. When I solo queued, however, I was not able to get into any games, regardless of map. 

Along with breakthrough, I have unsuccessfully tried getting into: Bot matches, Conquest, Portal servers.

I FOUND OUT HOW TO GET PAST THIS!

I finally, finally was able to load into the game, but only with a VPN. It does not work on my home network for some reason. This is a letdown, but hey, at least I can play now. Still looking for a more permanent solution!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When matchmaking a match. Have played 4 Seasons of Battlefield 2042. Bug occurs after Season 5 Update
What happens when the bug occurs? - Black screen when loading a map and return to main menu - High ping when joining a match ( 300+ ms ping ). Normal ping before season 5 update ( 10 - 80ms ping ) - Have to restart router everytime bug occurs. The matchmaking bug came back after a few days
What should be happening instead? game does not return to the main menu when loading a map. normal ping below 100ms

This matchmaking bug happen to everybody, many people don't notice it. The temporary solution i can find is to restart the router, but the matchmaking bug came back a few days. This matchmaking bug happen since Season 5 Update ( Update 5.0 )

- Black screen when loading a map and return to main menu
- Super High ping when joining a match ( 360+ ms ping ). Normal ping before Season 5 Update ( 10 - 80ms ping )
- Have to restart router everytime bug occurs. The matchmaking bug came back after a few days

- Same result when Restart Game or PC

- Affect every game modes (  AOW - Conquest, Breakthrough. Portal )
