Black Screen after finding a game > Sent back to Main Menu

Every time I try to join a match it searches, finds a game, black screen, black screen with loading icon in the middle, kicks me back to the main menu.

Summarize your bug I matchmake, it countsdown like it's gonna put me into the game and then nothing. No error or anything just doesn't load in and leaves me in the main menu, been happening ever since 5.1 patch. All drivers are updated I have an updated bios DxDiag finds no issues. I have a ryzen 3600x which should run battlefield

What happens when the bug occurs? I matchmake, it countsdown like it's gonna put me into the game and then nothing. No error or anything just doesn't load in and leaves me in the main menu, been happening ever since 5.1 patch

Hey guys, I am hoping that someone can help me with a connection issue I've been having in game. 

I haven't been able to connect to any servers since the last patch. 

Typically when this happens I can repair the install and EA will then allow me to patch the game but that doesn't seem to be working this time. 

I did also clear the cache for the EA in App Recovery but that does not seem to have made a difference either. 

Also uninstalled and reinstalled the game. 

The game is also not giving me an error, it just takes me back to the start menu.

I also raised a case last week and have received 4 replies from different folks and it's very clear that none of them have watched this video that I attached to the case. 

And none of them have replied to me since I replied to their initial email. EA has been an absolute nightmare to troubleshoot with. I cannot believe this is still an issue almost 2 years after the game has been released. 

What happens if you cut the 2042 folder from Documents and paste it to the Desktop then restart the game?

This sounds like a home router port forwarding issue with matchmaking.

Try putting the PC in the router's Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) or enable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) port forwarding on the home router.

It's so annoying because this is the only game I have this issue with. I've done everything I can to fix this issue besides switching ISPs which I can't do because they have basically a monopoly where I live. It is so frustrating that there is nothing that can be done besides saying it's a network issue. I literally can't play the game I spent money on and had pre-ordered. I expected so much more.
