Black screen and or freeze
I re installed battlefield 2042 July 30th. I'm able to play one match when the match ends I see the ribbon score screen the battle pass score screen then after that it goes to black screen with sound...

DICE TeamHey, @ANG3LxDUST @Elios747 can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.
Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

Maybe fix your game so that these issues don't exist. Like every other game that don't have these problems.
When one match of battlefield 2042 ends my game would sit at a black screen after the battlepass score screen ended. I've done a clean boot did not fix the issue. All my drivers are updated and no overlays are active. I've re installed the game 3- 4 times and on other hard drives. I've verified game files, cleared cache, and made sure windows was updated. It happens every time at the end of the battlepass score screen. Only apps running in the background are razer synapse, windows defender, origin, steam, and Nvidia(no overlays active).. reminder the clean boot did not solve anything. I decided to Overclock my ram to 2400mhz. Noticed I was able to play 3 matches this time with no black screen issue. But now I freeze on the 4th match during the map loading. Since I made it past the black screen issue I decided to run msi afterburner so i could see the ram usage/Temps/ cpu/gpu usages. Noticed ram would hit 10k mb. My cpu would be anywhere from 88%-99% usage. Gpu around 89-96% would get 65-85 frames depending on the map(bf3-- bad company maps get better fps). This is very consistent stuff I've noticed. 3-4 games max till game freezes, I can go to my desktop while the game is froze, I do not have to hard reset. I can alt tab to desktop and close the program. I tried playing at 1920x1080 but noticed my gpu was at 40-55% usage and CPU was 100% usage all the time. also the game still froze on map loading screen.

CPU--i5 6600k OC 4.4
GPU-- GTX 1080
RAM-- 16GB OC 2400mhz
Ssd--860 Evo 1tb (bf 2042 installed)
Ssd-- 850 evo 500gb (windows installed)
A lot of us having black screen after match since 1.1 and now more since 1.2 update.
EA just spits out same ole it's you not us but we were all fine BEFORE the updates and when we DO get in a match everything is fine.
It is random, get in a few no problem but black screen freeze most post match and freeze most preloads.
Only thing I think I notice is insane disc reads after match 100-300mbps when sitting in a nothing screen.
Ive done a clean boot already didnt solve anything
Discord overlay is disabled never use it
Nvidia overlay is disabled never use it
Also changed resolution to 1920x1080 didnt solve anyting
Ive tried to play on stock CPU speed, same issues
fix your game please. Like I said in the previous post, I played 250 hours from October(launch day) to early January. No black screen issues then. So id say whatever patches you put out from January till Now August 3rd is the problem.
I love how every response on these forums say "Do a clean boot", i doubt it has helped even one person (Never seen a response saying it did) its really laughable advice.
@EA_Atic I'd assume yall don't know how to fix it? I downloaded msi afterburner and overclocked my gpu, was only able to do 100 for the core clock and 150 for the memory for bf2042. Other games I can get 150 core clock and 200 memory.
Played 3 games tho till it froze on the loading map screen.
@EA_Atic also overclocked ram to 2400mhz, Im able to play 3 games then it freezes on the next map screen. I'm getting passed the black screen and playing more games in a row now. Maybe there's a memory problem with bf2042.
- @EA_Atic I have tried a clean boot, I have tried putting all my overlays off. It's not working. I have repaired this game so many times and it's not helping. My hardware isn't the problem because I didn't have this problem before the 1.2 update. It was only after the 1.2 update that is when I was experiencing problems. So please fix this issue

- @EA_Atic there is a known issue discussed in game chats about a blackscreen after a game is finished, the game does not return to menu. This has like 2 or 3 days.
Hello, I know this string is a little old... I've just started playing the game, and I'm having the exact same problems. While playing the game it crashes and the screen turns black. I'm not playing through a PC, I'm on a Xbox series s and I am hardwired into the TV using HDMI cord. All help is appreciated
