Black screen and or freeze
I re installed battlefield 2042 July 30th. I'm able to play one match when the match ends I see the ribbon score screen the battle pass score screen then after that it goes to black screen with sound...
@ANG3LxDUST yeah , but a new system with ddr5 memory need to run also well , without issues.
But if ya got issues from day 1 with bf2042 , then there is something wrong !
And he fixed it just by getting new - supported mem, and able to OC his system now Wink
@Rokebo73I never had issues with bf2042 from day one...
issues didn't start till July when I re installed the game. I played early access till late December early January with NO PROBLEMS I've said this like a thousand * times. You people don't read at all
First of all I have to commend you for keeping up the fight in multiple threads regarding this issue. Great work!
1. Same issue for me since Season 1 update prior to having zero iissues after initial release. EA online have been no help. I've tried everything including two hard reinstalls and everything else mentioned everywhere else. You know it 😉
2. I have an i5-6600k / 3060ti gpu with 16gb of ram = I can play games like Resident Evil Village, Days Gone, Doom Eternal and Chernobylite on ultra settings with raytrace enabled no problems
3. Do you overclock your CPU while using Throttestop or run it at stock?
4. I'll give Throttlestop a crack next weekend. Let us know if you hit the Freeze Wall Of Death in the meantime
Cheers
@_Manikk_1gotta keep fighting lol. No I don't use throttlestop for overclocking I only use it for the turbo time limit , I overclock thru my BIOS.. i havent had a chance to keep playing been busy this weekend
Who TF put solved on this thread? The issue is not solved
Rgr that. Thanks for the heads up. I had a good day last Saturday and after a few hours it finally started freezing every 1-2 games and I gave up.
I play less frequently these days. If I have a good run I play but when the freezing cycle starts I bail out. Even rebooting the PC doesn't reset the problem.
Once the one 1-3 game freeze cycle starts it remains.
I rarely have good days like Saturday
how many WATT does your PSU deliver people ?
Is it there maybe a lot of dust in PSU and at PSU fan ? PSU to hot ? or does it not deliver enough power ?
this is a link from AMD site but its about PSU in general !
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-104
and this link about the GPU (not only radeon) and the WATT it uses (also explains how much WATT PSU ya need) !!

Started on 09/13/2022, after the game was updated.
The round ends, the screen shows the best players, then the squad (and not always, but instead of characters, large rotating loading icons), then the progress of the season, and then a black screen. A new round does not start, the menu does not exit. You must close the game window and start the game again.
Game on SSD. The game files have been verified. Cleared the cache in the game folder. I installed the drivers for the video card WHQL:516.94 dated August 9, although it was the same on the previous version. Windows 10. GTX 1070. Intel Core i7 4770K.
The issue is very random. I've had days where I can play non stop and other days it freezes right away. There's nothing us players can do, I've literally tried everything looked up so much stuff tried so many things and nothing seems to work. Re installed windows 2-3 times trying to get it to work Uninstalled the game multiple times installed it on other ssds. Did the command prompt to fix corrupt files nothing solves this problem. EA needs to look into there updates to figured out what caused this problem. If the game had more players playing it more people would have this issue, then it would get looked at.

Are there files need to be fixed after clean windows install ?
you could do a clean windows install (without internet) @BuNgLelove69
You could use Geek or RevoUninstaller_Portable to delete complete origin and game and all the folders , (it gives also scan registry for anything related to game and origin, (scan , select all and delete it)
Fresh install origin and game (download setups, run as admin) @-MaDraDeuS-
Hi folks,
Reopening thread after a clean up. Please remember to keep things polite and friendly. You don't need to agree with each other's positions but you do need to engage in a respectful way. Please keep that in mind for again.
If you do see a post or member breaking the rules, please only report it using the report function (clink on the three dots in the top right of the post and select 'report') and continue with the discussion as normal. I beg you, do not try to moderate them or put them in their place...it only puts your own account inline for moderation which nobody wants and adds to the amount of posts that need to be removed from the conversation when we're following up ^^; Have mercy plz.
Thanks all,

bumping cause i have this issue and the game is almost unplayable. It gets old rebooting the game between every map or every other map, especially when you are squaded up with a group and then have to sit in queue to get into the game. EA sucks and the support is terrible
In my case, the game does not progress due to an error after the update. 😢
I tried everything, but it won't start.
Graphic board: RTX2080ti x 2 [SLI]
CPU: i9 9900k
Re installing windows won't help, I've tried it twice and all it was was a waste if time. Installing on different ssds doesn't help either. I was able to play multiple games Thursday night. It's completely random
I know some of us have the i5 6600k and that's the minimum cpu for this game but the problem wasn't here during the first 3 months of the games life. Also people with better cpu's are also having the same issues. I haven't ran into a black screen in awhile. I'm mainly freezing on the map loading screen
