Solved

Bumped to main menu everytime I try to join a game.

For over 6 months now, I have been unable to load into a match on Battlefield 2042. I bought the deluxe edition of this game and literally cannot play it.

I play on PS5, and regardless of the game mode, cross play on or off, anything, I search for a match, I find one, the countdown begins, I go to a black screen and get bumped out to the main menu again. No error, no nothing.

I am not the only person who has had this issue and it literally makes the game completely unplayable and nothing has been done about it. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Three times now. I just want to be able to play the game.

  • @Nagini1031 Could you try to power cycle the console and see if that helps.

    Power cycle the PlayStation console

    1. Completely turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button.
    2. Wait for the power light to stop flashing, remove the power cable and leave the system for 20 minutes.
    3. Reconnect and attempt to launch Safe Mode.

@EA_Atic I’ve done that quite a few times at this point. Admittedly 2 of my 4 attempts happened after I lost power and noticed it was an opportunity to try it. But yeah, that doesn’t change anything.

@EA_Atic just wanted to inform you that the same issue is also apparently happening for me on BFV. I’m not sure if they’re related, but whenever I try to join a server on BFV, I am given an error that tells me I cannot connect to the server due to latency issues and inability to connect to EA. I have tested my internet on my PlayStation and it’s fine and I’ve been able to play with much much much more horrible internet. Nothing about my internet has changed.
