I have the exact same problem.Ever since the new anti-cheat, nothing works. Thanks EA.
The question is, have you tried to trash those directories related to Ea Anti Cheat?
How to do it?
1.Close the EA applications and restart the PC (after restarting, do not run the EA application - if it is in the list of automatically launched applications, remove it from the automatic launch after starting the computer)
2.Delete the directories marked in red to the trash (to the trash - not completely, so that in case of major problems, you can restore the files from the trash)
(administrator rights may be required to delete these directories)
C:\Program Files\EA
C: (...)\AppData\Roaming\EA
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\EA
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\EAAntiCheat.Installer.Tool
(game instalation locate) \Battlefield 2042\EAAntiCheat
+ files in BF2042 catalog (screen below) --> (game instalation locate) \Battlefield 2042\
3. Restart your PC
4. Run the EA program, then BF2042, EA Anti Cheat should be downloaded and installed again.
Additionally, check in MSCONFIG under services you have these 2 EA Anti Cheat services marked (screen below).

Hi,
So, I deleted the related directories(there were several missing), which appeared as if it would work at first.
These directories are missing:
C: (...)\AppData\Roaming\EA
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\EA
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\EAAntiCheat.Installer.ToolIt allowed the game to Launch to 99% and then return this error:
So I restarted the game and it returned the same error.
A curious thing though, is when I go into MSConfig.
EABackground Service isn't there; only EA Anti-Cheat:
I'm thinking maybe since the roaming data is missing is the reason it's failing?
Can you show me the files located inside the EA Folder for C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\EA?
I will create the folder and install them there manually.

If the program did not create anything, do not create these folders yourself.
Don't create anything manually, I know cases from the time of Punkbuster where people received global bans for manually modifying anti-cheat files.
Unlock the built-in administrator account and try running BF2042 there. The built-in admin account does not have any NTFS permission restrictions on the C drive, so this may help.
I had a case where BFV did not save my single player progress due to the lack of permissions to modify its files on the C drive on a regular admin account (made by user). The problem disappeared with the built-in admin account. From then on, I only use the built-in Windows administrator account. I am deactivating the admin account I created (standard admin).
Maybe for the same reason EAAC does not install correctly. "Run as administrator" mode is not the same as working with the built-in administrator account in Windows.Below are the screenshots you asked for

If there is no EA background service then EA APP is not installed correctly. Reinstall EA APP.
