There were 0 reports of server issues and nothing changed on our end in the meantime, especially not during the Holidays etc. So in this case I would assume that the issues were indeed caused by potential issues within your home network or ISP, that have resolved itself eventually.

I doubt most issues are home network, congestion at a route location seems viable but at the same time people in similar locations can have mixed results.
I think in bf1 towards the end of its life before they switched to amazon servers i showed them something resembling a caching issue with logins.
Which this very well could be again, eg people are logging in once early in the day and then server keeps them or their details alive so that it causes problem when trying to log in again.
