Cannot join a game server as a party or join a friend's game server

Summarize your bug Unable to join a server when in a party with a friend. In short, when either me or my friend select a game mode, we both start to search/connect, but only one of us is able to actually join a server. For the other person, connecting is just canceled and is back on the main menu without any error whatsoever. Even when the one in the main menus attempts to join a friend, they will just be stuck in queue and get kicked from the queue before the game tries to connect to the server.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Party up with a friend in the main menu. 2. Have the party leader select a game mode so that the connecting procedure begins. 3. Once the game starts to load, one person in the party should notice getting "kicked" back to the main menu while the other one (typically the party leader) successfully connects to the game server and is ready to deploy.
What happens when the bug occurs? You get thrown back to the main menu with no error code/message whatsoever.
What should be happening instead? You should be joining the game server that you and your party found and tried to connect to, without getting "kicked" to the main menu.

  • Day 3 of no response from EA on this issue. Continuing to troubleshoot on my own to no avail. Will post an update if I figure it out.

  • Day 4 of no response from EA on this issue. Issue still persists. Have not found a solution to the issue on my own. Ridiculous that there is no way to submit a formal ticket or get support in general. Have been tweeting @Battlefiled and @EAHelp with no response there either. I guess that's what you get with small indie companies.

  • Any luck with this? 

    I've tried everything, waiting for friends to join into a game then I join their party.  Still always get kicked back to main menu.  Its so frustrating.

    I am having the same problem as stated in this post. My brothere and I cannot join the same game when we are in a party, only one person will end up joining.

  • its now november and i just got ea play to play some BF2042 but we cant party join because of this bug!

    I'm getting the same issue. 3 of us in a party. All on PC. The game starts two players go into the match I'm stock at the lobby screen or sometimes a black screen. Game fills up, can't get into the game at all. It's like the game can't handle the size preconstructed parties correctly.

  • FYI 3 years later this is still and issue. 

    Console, all of the party is console.  Restarting the game does not fix. At most we can match to 3-4 games over the course of hours.
