I was unfairly banned from BF2042 and accused of cheating.

You can say that but I also have a friend that got banned form the game around the same time. He has also sent multiple dispute requests and gets the same rubber stamp response. I have played with the guy for near 20 years and he despises cheaters. We used to admin servers when you could actually rent servers and run them before match making. We removed cheaters. But EA claims they do fair reviews. I can tell you because the Anti cheat caused issues with other games launching he had to remove it. As a result he was accused of cheating. If your anti cheat actually worked like it is supposed to and not cause issues. Players would not need to do this to enjoy the games. Improper banning and unfair reviews will continue to cause loss of players just trying to enjoy the games.

I got the same ban and the day I got banned was the day I just downloaded the game update and quit steam. I have now changed my password and checked 2 step verification. I don’t know how to write an appeal letter and all I have is the history file of the apps I used that night extracted from windows tool but I can’t send them the file. If I send that, will it help prove anything?. Asked on steam forum and all the psychopaths who lack reading comprehension and judgment.

Just happened to me too. Zero cheating software installed. Have literally never cheated in an online game.  Wouldn't even know how.  Definitely not ever buying another ea product. They just declined 3 appeals, no explanation whatsoever. Permanently banned from my 60 dollar game. 

I am glad this is not just me then.... Do you guys have the times you were banned? I was banned on april 7th 2:06 AM UTC so 7:06 pm. I played on the 1st, 5th and 6th. I have had my account since 2011 and you are telling me that I am going to risk my one and only steam account, my 14 year old account? Can you provide me with the logs of me cheating and how?

I downloaded my data EA_cuervo​ and trying to decode what this means, regardless I don't know what accountChangeLog is or how to change it....

lol my brother was just hit with this yesterday. It really is quite outrageous. The last time I jumped on BVF a few weeks ago there were still people rage cheating with LMG.   My bro jumps on for his 1st game in ages and gets blocked. He is good.. but not that good and his play we no different to his historical average. 

I was playing while I got banned. No idea what triggered the ban though. You can send screenshots when you appeal but in my experience they will just copy and paste that they determined banning was "the correct action" and your account is gone. They will do it 3 times, then tell you that theyre going to stop responding to you. 

Yeah they already told me that they will stop responding to me. I was banned the same way because I logged off at 7:06pm then started another game didn't even know I was banned. Then 3 days later I tried getting on and it let me know I was banned. They said hacking and cheating but that is bs.

Hi all and EA STAFF,

I recently had this happen to my account and I have a similar scenario. I have my EA account since 2011, I never attempted cheating on any games I play online or would even know how to attempt to cheat. I've scanned my PC for malware, checked my anti-cheat settings in EA and everything checks out.

I've submitted 2 disputes on the ban and received the EXACT same response you posted above. I received the original ban email on April 21st 2025 9:08pm CST. This is unbelievable and unacceptable from EA support staff. I've asked them to provide a date/time when the cheating occurred or what was detected as cheating. They said they cannot disclose this information. 

Also I had not played the game for 2+ weeks prior to receiving the ban notice so I'd like to know how my account was cheating when I was not using it. 

I've been a loyal PAYING EA customer for years and now I'm banned from a $80 game I purchased. Not to mention they're refusing a refund now. Please EA support staff, please help us. It's not a coincidence all of these users have experienced a ban recently and have no history of cheating.
