We're not aware of any issues related to the Battlefield 4 servers. There were some issues last weekend that affected a handful of people who were playing BFV & BF2042, but those have been resolved.
If you're still experiencing issues, I would recommend taking a look at our Connection Troubleshooting steps:
We’ve got basic and advanced troubleshooting steps on EA Help to help you with your connection. Try these steps first to see if they help you stay connected while you’re playing:
Basic: http://x.ea.com/ea/basic-connection-ts
Advanced: http://x.ea.com/ea/advanced-connection-ts
Our number one tip is to hardwire your PC to your router.

- ReversePsycology3 years agoRising Rookie@EA_Leeuw I called EA support 2 weeks ago, and they were aware of this issue. It is a problem on EA's end, as i can connect to very select few games, but none others work. Also, Ea support gave me the same steps you just did, and nothing worked. also, did you scroll up and see that someone was on xbox and had this problem? this is a problem within dice/BF servers
- ReversePsycology3 years agoRising Rookie@EA_Leeuw also this has not been resolved in the slightest. ping is astronomically high as well
- 3 years ago@ReversePsycology If you don't mind me asking, what exactly did EA support say about it when they told you it was a known issue?
@EA_Leeuw There have been several forum posts about this from different people. I posted my own issues at https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Battlefield-2042-loads-but-won-t-lauch-any-missions-levels-and/td-p/12295311
I have tried everything under the sun to get my game to work, and at best, in the past 2 days a friend of mine found a workaround that seems to at least occasionally let me join a game... but then after about an hour of playing I'm locked out of every match I try and join.
@ReversePsycology the only thing my friend found that seemed to help was if I opened WIndows Task Manager and went and shut down "Console Window Host" under Windows Processes, it seems to increase the odds I can join a game for a bit. But I've found I can't join my friends in a squad or it goes right back to the not connecting issue. You'll also note that runs completely counter to the advice the EA devs give as far as a clean boot is concerned, since they say to exclude Windows Processes.
@EA_Leeuw I have to respectfully ask that you submit a ticket to the programmers/devs regarding this issue - this may only impact a minority portion of the BF population, but it's not isolated to just one person. I'm sure there are some people praying the patch next week solves this issue, but if it doesn't, I have to start asking if EA is in compliance with its own EULA - I paid for the base game and 4 seasons of content; as it stands EA ceased to be able to effectively deliver that service 2.5 weeks ago, and I have concerns as to whether or not it's going to be able to deliver season 4 at all given the current state of affairs for myself and some others.
