For those that would like to try opening ports on your router, I'd definitely suggest checking out this port forward site.
This is not an EA website, but it does have walkthroughs to open ports for a number of different router models so that may make the process a bit easier to try for anyone else running into this issue.
But still it should not be our work to do the job .
