Summarize your bug I attempted to add my friend who is on an Xbox Series X to my friend's list via both BF 2042 and Origin client. We were not able to find each other at all within BF 2042's Social menu. We were able to find our profiles through Origin's website/client, but neither of use could send or receive a friend request.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In any attempt to add a friend via EA ID that is cross-platform (might even affect same platform too)
What happens when the bug occurs? We are unable to add each other to play the game together
What should be happening instead? We should be able to see each other when entering the correct EA ID within BF 2042 and seamlessly add each other
This issue does not bode well for a social multiplayer game, especially with co-op modes like Hazard Zone. I have never had an issue this persistent or seemingly unfixable on any other cross-play system (Epic Games with Fortnite, Activision with Warzone, etc), but it seems to be a deeper system problem than a simple bug.
