Can't get into a game

Ive checked and I have both crossplay settings turned on but still no joy, not even on the new map!

I am playing on Xbox One, I am based in Western Australia. I am trying to play the normal games, ie conquest and breakthrough in AOW. Since Christmas, I have not been able to play a single game of Breakthrough. I am the only one in the lobby waiting for another 16players to join. I can only play conquest but there not full servers, and once people start leaving then I am waiting in the lobby there as well trying to matchmake for ages before enough players join to get one more round in.

Since Season One has launched, I have been able to have decent games on the new map as the player numbers are up. I have not been able to play the normal conquest or breakthrough though as it seems everyone is only playing on the new map. Things seem to be quieting down a bit now and I barely get into play on the new map which is mainly AI. 

I have been posting up for months now about this issue and you are the first person to respond. I have also asked that the server browser be brought back for these core game modes (AOW) which includes the filters so I can change my region which we had as standard in the previous BF titles. This seems to be falling on deaf ears, and as I read through the lobby's there is a tonne of people with the same issues requesting the same thing. So what's being done to resolve this issue and get this feature back into BF2042?

When I started reading this thread yesterday I thought my problems would be solved, alas after checking, both crossplay options were turned on so the solution on this tread is not helping me in my situation, as I am based in a different region with a very low player base. When I go into portal, there is like only 2-3 games with enough people to play with. The ping is red, and the maps and game modes are not what I want to play. At the minute, I want to play the game, but I cant change my region to play with others, and when I do get game, I have to play on a map I dont want to play and a game mode with rules that I dont want to play either. So I am finding it very frustrating.

I have also tried setting up my own server to see if others will join mine. But after about half an hour, I only had one person jump in and they left as quickly as they came.

Can I get some help because I'm having the same problem but I play on PlayStation 4.

But I can't load into anything conquest nor breakthrough or anything it will start the countdown for the game to start and then it will put me on a black screen and send me back to lobby.

Been having this problem for 3 days now and I hope to be able to play the game again

i am really really sad i needed to open a discussion to find out about the really weird issue am facing ... the game was working almost flawless on season 1 with no issues on PC and without me touching any settings anywhere what so ever .. after the last 2 updates including the season 2 one .. the game stopped finding any active matches .. it keeps getting me in empty lobbies with the search for players icon keep rotating without getting anyone into the game for over 10 minutes or more .. this issue only happens with battlefield 2042 ... all other games working fine and i turned off firewall .. reset network .. made game and origins administrator .. enable/disable cross play .. i did it all .. and still no use .. HELL .. even browsing matches i find most of matches connection is on RED BAR .. very bad connection with that server ALTHOUGH i have a fiber optics internet connection with over 500 download speed and 150 upload speed .. i really couldn't find whats going on .. please help

Btw i play from UAE middle east and I GUESS am not the only one facing this .. some lobbies i get into there are one or two players waiting for few minutes with me and they leave in less than 5 minutes losing hope that anyone will join after
