Cant Load BF2042

For weeks now I have not been able to launch this F****'n Game. Worked fine for 16hours of play, two weeks back decide to jump on and nada. Game attempts to launch, I get the EAC loading screen with the season name. That screen disappears and EA App loads back up.

Things I've tried to get it to work:

-Reinstall 2042

-Reinstall EA App

-Install game on different drives

-Install EA  App on different drives

-Ran 2042/EAC as Administrator

-Ran as not Administrator

-Clear Cache Files

-Turned my firewall off

-Turned Anti Virus off/Changed permissions on it

-Load the game with Ethernet unplugged to see what EAC said about Files not working

-Reinstalled EAC

-GOT GOOD

-Updated my windows

-Updated my Nvidia Drivers

-Removed apps

-Closed apps so this god awful EA APP and 2042 were the only things running

-Contacted EA Support (shocker no reply)

-Did a Rain Dance

-Got a new NVME Drive and only had this game on it

Nothing, nothing works. I really did enjoy the game for when I was able to play it, but just like EA, they just don't know how to fix this issue. Shame on me for buying through Origin. Shame on us all.

If one of you wonderful humans know how to fix this issue let me know.

Just tried it, still nothing, i think i've lost all hope now

  • @starstruck685 so I only got it to work because I was messing with EAC. Go to your BF2042 folder. Find the EAC.exe and go to compatibility mode. I turned off run as administrator and changed to run in 600x800. I did it more as a joke cause I was certain it wouldn’t work. But when EAC/2042 screen popped up in gave me a troubleshooting screen.
    “is program working as intended”

select no and run the troubleshooting.
it suggested I run the game in windows 8 compatibility.

    maybe that might help you.
turn off admin and run the 2042 launcher in Windows 8.

    run EAC as normal

  • @DarthFDG Yea I definitely should have to run In compatibility mode, but even before the newest driver update I had these issues. But it works this way and the game runs smooth. Im just gonna keep it like this. Thank you for the help tho

Sadly still nothing, i dont know what i have to do to make it work anymore, if its my pc's fault or EA's altho i tend to lean towards EA beacause one day before the season 4 patch everything was ok and then 12 hours later everything went to *. i just hope they'll fix it some day soon

  • @StrikerEureka925. I’ve also been trying for hours now…Nothing! This is the only one of my games that does this. I agree it’s a really good game when you can get on. But you know what? I don’t think I wanna play now! Waited all week to get to my weekend too!
