Can't play battlefield with friends on the same network

My friend and I both bought BF 2042 for PS4. 

We can each play online but not at the same time. 

When either he comes online whilst I am playing or if I come online whilst he is playing we are both immediately kicked from our game/ the main menu and then keep seeing "Unable to connect to EA server" error message. 

It's really strange, it happens every time, as soon as either of us ceases to be idle and moves our controller it kicks the both of us. 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    @Weems420 both ast the same connection ? Then check if you both get a dynamic IP adres.
    You both probarly using same IP

      Thank you for your reply. 

      We live about 30km's away from each other and neither of us use any sort of VPN service so I don't think this could be the case right?
