Cant revive downed allies near walls or objects

Can’t revive people when their next to objects or in water

I’ve had this issue when their body is out in the open aswell, and did have one yday on manifest where my mates upper body was completely in the container and did manage to revive him, a one off for sure.

Same on XsX for me. happened already multiple time. No button prompt, trying to mash X just makes my specialist reload his weapon. It looks like it happens as soon as you have a small part of the body inside a geometry (wall or anything else) when in down state. Head or shoulder going into the wall makes it impossible to revive the player, never happens when a player body is out in the open with no object around. I really wonder if the other end of it (when you are the one down) is the other bug that makes it impossible to respawn and the only solution is to quit the game...

What happens when the bug occurs? There is no revive icon on downed players. Unable to revive while pressing or holding revive button. Nothing happens.
What should be happening instead? Revive the player.

I hope it will be fixed in the day-1 patch.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1) Have 3 Players (1 Enemy, 2 Allies) (Make sure Allies can revive each other same squad or medic operator) 2) Enemy downs 1 of the allies close to a wall 3) 2nd ally tries to revive 4) Observe that it not possible even the revive icon is above the downed player
What happens when the bug occurs? You cannot revive players even with the revive icon --> Will cause unnecessary deaths
What should be happening instead? Players should be able to revive even when downed player is next to an object or a wall

The Battlefield team just tweeted out the latest details on what they plan to do in the next update. Here is what they mentioned around soldier revives:

Soldier Revives:

We're confident that we've identified the cause of the issue that was preventing you from always getting off a revive, particularly when a player is in close proximity to nearby geometry. A fix for this is on the way.

Soldier Revives:

Separately we're closing in on a possible server side fix for players who in rare circumstances find themselves unable to respawn. If that server side fix doesn't stick, we already have a further solution lined up for our upcoming update.

On Thursday, we’re releasing Update #2. As shared last week via Battlefield Direct Communications on Twitter, we’re making the following changes:

• Improved Soldier Revives, addressing ‘unable to revive when a Soldier dies close to an object, or wall’.
