Can't switch between controller and mouse

Let's ignore the fact that you guys seem to have started off with a 4 year old copy+pasted code base that has all the same bugs from previous releases of battlefield - flare glitches included - and get to the latest patch.

How the * do you completely and utterly break using controller and mouse/keyboard? I use controller for flying and mouse/keyboard for everything else, and up until today I had no issues whatsoever. Now I basically can't use the controller, otherwise my mouse will only ever work for vertical axis and nothing else. Literally unplayable until this is fixed. I have to reboot my computer before BF understands my mouse has more than just a Y axis., and then at that point I can't connect a controller at all, otherwise I'm right back where I started.

I swear to god, this is the last battlefield game I'll spend money on.

    @nullifi3d since you only use the controller for flying, in the pilot category of the key bindings area, try removing any keyboard/mouse bindings for those specific functions just to make sure they are not interfering which each other and causing this issue for you. Also wouldn't hurt to check the other categories just to make sure you controller isn't bound to any other keys.

    It has nothing to do with binds. As soon as the controller is plugged in the X axis on the mouse disappears.
